The plot is based on an Italian tale translated into verse as The Tragical History of Romeus and Juliet by Arthur Brooke in 1562. In the play, Juliet, Capulet's daughter was in sincere love with Romeo, Motague's son. Both vowed to care for each other. However, their mutual love was harassed by the historic conflict between two families. Despite this, Romeo and Juliet did not give up their initial understanding of each other and they were determined to challenge against every barrier in life. For the pursuit of different life, they are even willing to be scapegoats at any cost. It was to people's sorrow that Romeo and Juliet committed suicide to prevent Paris from marrying Juliet. When parents of both family know this, they regreted what they had done. From then on, their long-lasting conflict between two families came to an end. The two families constructed golden statues to commemorate Romeo and Juliet.
